The Anchor Section  had a Halloween party on Tuesday 26 October. As you will see from the photo, they all came dressed for the occasion.

The Junior Section also had their party on Friday 29 October with dookin' for apples, sticky donuts from a string etc. They also came dressed for the part.

Both sections had a ball stuffing their faces with pizza, sausage rolls, crisps and biscuits along with sweets they won for wonderful costumes and pumpkin competitions. Don't they all look amazing as well as S C A R Y!

October outing

At the end of the school October holiday week, the boys and officers visited the Kelvingrove Art Galleries on Saturday 16 October.  The boys had a ball looking at all the exhibits. They were a bit overwhelmed with the amount there was to see; they could hardly believe the size of the organ and the Spitfire plane. All in all, they had a great day.

The Junior Section of 1st Kilsyth Boys Brigade is now meeting on Friday evenings from 7.00pm-8.45pm. Any boy between the ages of 8 and 11 is welcome to come along on a Friday evening to find out what we do and what it's all about. Having visited Balmalloch Primary, Kilsyth Primary and St Pat's Primary, we altered the evening from a Thursday as we discovered many young boys had football training so couldn't attend both. The school visits resulted in some new boys coming along. Please contact us for any further information. We look forward to seeing you.

The Anchor Boys still continue to meet on a Tuesday evening between 6.15 and 7.15. We are looking for volunteers to help us with these young boys aged from 5-7. If you or anyone you know may be interested, please contact us via our home page.

The Junior Section of the Boys Brigade is for boys in the age range of Primary 4 to Primary 6.

Our teams meet on Thursday evenings in the Large hall from 7.00pm - 9.00pm.

Boys Running

The Junior Section of the Boys Brigade recently celebrated Burns night with the usual haggis, neeps and tatties!

The boys will also be competing in the Battalion cross country run - should be fun!

We are looking for a volunteer to help with the Junior Section here in the Church on a Thursday evening.

Our Officer in Charge for the 2018-19 session joined the Army in August 2019, which left us with only one fully qualified officer.  The workload involved is simply too much for one person. Our oldest helper is 17 years old and this is too young to do officer training - you must be at least 18 years of age. Unfortunately, if we do not find someone to take on this role, we will lose our Boys Brigade company from this Church.

We are looking for someone who can attend every Thursday evening and the odd weekend for fundraisers, camp, etc. If this sounds like something you would be interested in doing, please contact the Junior Section via the Church e-mail, boldchurch@hotmail.com

Alternatively, you can speak to Janette McFarlane or contact us through the website.

Tea & Coffee

Each month, all the organisations involved in the Church take a turn to serve teas and coffees after the Sunday Morning Service.

The boys last turn was in February. All proceeds made were contributed towards Jr Section funds.

The Anchor Boys is for boys in Primary 1 to Primary 3.

We meet every Tuesday from 6:15 - 7:15pm in the large Church Hall.

The boys do crafts, read bible stories, play games and have outdoor visits to the Police and Fire Stations.

Local and District group events provide fun, competitive and rewards for our boys.

Contact Donna via our contact form at the bottom of our home page if you have any child interested . . . . . we look forward to seeing you!
