Ist Kilsyth Boys Brigade, Junior Section

The Junior Section of the Boys Brigade is for boys in the age range of P4 - P6.

Our teams meet on Thursday evenings in the large hall from 7.00pm - 9.00pm.

The Junior Section of the Boys Brigade recently celebrated Burns night with the usual haggis, neeps and tatties!

The boys will also be competing in the Battalion cross country run - should be fun!

We are looking for a volunteer to help with the Junior Section here in the church on a Thursday evening. Our officer in charge for the 2018-19 session will be joining the army in August, which will leave us with only one fully qualified officer and he would not be able to cope with the workload involved as it is simply too much for one person. Our oldest helper is 17 years old and this is too young to do officer training; you must be at least 18 years of age. Unfortunately, if we do not find someone to take on this role, we will lose our Boys Brigade company from this church.

We are looking for someone who can attend every Thursday evening and the odd weekend for fundraisers, camp, etc. If this sounds like something you would be interested in doing, please contact the Junior Section via the church e-mail, or speak to Janette McFarlane or contact us through the website.

Church Teas and Coffees

Each month, all the organisations involved in the church take a monthly turn to serve teas and coffees after the morning service. The boys turn is February. Proceeds will go towards Jr Section funds.

Future events

The boys are looking forward to a trip to Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum; watch this space for further details and information!
