Our Christmas Tree Festival held last weekend was a great success. We welcomed hundreds of people over the Friday and Saturday. On Friday evening, the Rainbows and Brownies entertained us with beautiful carol singing to which we all joined in.

On the Saturday morning, the church choir sang a lovely selection of religious songs as well as some upbeat Christmas songs. Also, a friend of our church, pianist Don Swanson, entertained us over the two days with his beautiful piano recitals.

The trees were all themed: Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh; All God's Creatures; O Little Town of Bethlehem; Movie Quiz Tree; Anchor Boys; Lego Tree; Rainbows - Rainbows over the years; Brownies - 70 years of Brownies;  Thanks for the Memories; Snowman; Santa Claus; Away in a Manger; The Prince of Peace; Tartan Twinkle; Joy to the World; Christingle; New Life in Christ. What a variety - thank you to all the individuals and organisations who worked and decorated their tree.

Overall, a wonderful weekend was enjoyed by all. Grateful thanks to all those who helped in any way and to all the people from near and far who came to support our final Christmas  Tree Festival.

The total amount received over the weekend amounts to £1,900 for which we are very grateful. Thanks to everyone who helped in any way - people at the door, ladies in the kitchen either washing dishes or serving teas and coffees - a very big THANK YOU.
