ARCHIVE - JUNE FAYRE

2019

Our June Fayre was held this year on Saturday 1 June and opened by our minister, the Rev Bob.

The stalls and tearoom, not to mention the strawberries and ice cream, were all soon doing well. Happy laughter and chatter could be heard. The sum raised on the day for our church funds was an excellent £2,683.33, then we received donations and items were sold from the tables left in the hall. The following Saturday, 8 June saw us with our usual 20p stall at the beginning of Civic Week. This raised £159, so as at 9 June the total for this year's June Fayre stands at the magnificent total of £3,115 with donations still coming in.

Sincere thanks to all the helpers and to the very generous church family and friends who came along to support us, as well as our stall at the Civic Week opening day.

2018

This year's summer Fayre was held on Saturday 2 June and was officially opened by the Provost, Jean Jones. It was a glorious afternoon, well until the storm came!

The stalls all did brisk business - strawberries and cream, bottle stall, books, white elephant, gifts, surprise bags, home baking. For the children, there was a bouncy castle, mini golf, frog in the bog, face painting, hair braiding and temporary tattoos to enjoy. For the adults, the tea room is always a must.

The total realised on the day was £2,000 and a big thank you to everyone who came along as well as to the willing helpers. The final total raised £2,400 for church funds. All we can say is "thank you" to so many people for their hard work.

2017

June Fayre -  total raised £ 2,540.00 thanks to everyone for their support!
